On June 2, 2008, according to the schedule Nurbank has effected the last for 2008 foreign debt repayment of syndicated loan amounting to USD133 mln. and accrued interest. This loan was organized on May 2, 2006, by Deutsche Bank AG (Germany) and RaiffeisenZentralBank AG (Austria).

Nurbank has repaid this syndicated loan using its own resources, confirming its own stability of the financial institute as well as the Kazakh banking sector in general.

Thus, as it was planned, as of the first half of 2008 Nurbank became the first among Kazakh banks to meet all of its external obligations due in 2008. According to Daniyar Nurskenov, Managing Director of Nurbank, share of the foreign debt in the form of syndicated loans and Eurobonds in the Bank's total liabilities has decreased to the acceptable level of less than 20% due to the deposit base growth.

The Bank has only one Eurobonds issue outstanding in amount of USD150 mln. maturing in 2011.
